Why Give?
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your lap. For with the measure you measure, it shall be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
From the book of Genesis to the words of Jesus and the writings of Paul in the New Testament, we see over and over God’s desire to be involved in our finances through the principle of sowing and reaping. He wants to meet your needs abundantly! The release of His blessing is activated by our acknowledgment that He is our source of provision. As we sow into the work of the kingdom of God, He has promised that financial blessing shall return to us. Our giving is an act of our obedience to these words He has spoken and a form of worship for His faithfulness and provision.
Make a Difference
Among the last commands given by Christ to his followers was, “You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses to me, not only in Jerusalem, not only throughout Judea, not only in Samaria, but to the very ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
